Sugar has been with us for quite a few years. She is approximately 5-6 years old. She had been placed up for adoption when she recovered from her rescue but no one called. We had wanted to place her with her sister Spice and when no appropriate home was located, we simply took them off the adoption list and they continued to live in their foster home. Spice unexpectedly passed away 2 years ago. Sugar did not seem to notice supprisingly. She has been fine but I think that it is selfish for me to keep her in a home with many other cats. She has so much to offer someone who can give her alot of individual attention. She deserves more than I can give her. She is a sweet, sweet cat who loves to just be petted but also loves to play with toy mice. She has been with dogs for all the years that I have had her and there have never been any problems. As a matter of fact, she would sniff my dog's eyelashes when my dog was sleeping. Sugar is a brave little thing and she just deserves her own person. I would love to see her have that. I love Sugar and would rather have what is best for her rather than what makes me happiest. I think a true animal person would understand that statement. Below is the original listing that I had written for Sugar along with Spice. Sugar is one of the sweetest cats we have had the pleasure of rescuing. She came to SAFARI when she and her sister and kittens were slated to be euthanized at a shelter due to overcrowding. Sugar is gentle and loving. She lets her sister Spice take control of the room and quietly waits to be noticed. Sugar loves to warble and will carry on a conversation with you. Her name really fits her disposition. Sugar, Spice and the kittens were extremely dehydrated and underweight when they came to us. It has been a joy to watch her flourish and develop her own personality.
